Harmonious Power at SMM

Renold Hi-Tec Couplings is using SMM 2006 in Hamburg to launch a new range of flexible couplings and rubber anti-vibration engine mountings for marine applications on Stand A3 001. The new VF couplings are designed for use with high speed, flex-mounted diesel engines across a torque range from 5,000 to 18,000Nm.

They have been designed for use on leisure craft, workboats, fishing vessels and tugs.

Renolds Hi-Tec has the in house skills and expertise necessary to conduct a complete harmonics and shock analysis of a vessel's propulsion system in order to select the correct coupling and engine mounting for each application. This ensures that the two components are working together in harmony to provide the shipbuilder or repairer with the complete solution.

The company will also be showing its range of marine couplings, including the DCB-GS and MSC types as well as the HTB high temperature, blind assembly couplings for close coupled gearbox applications.
