Ohmsett Hosts Oil Spill Training
01 Aug 2007
Ohmsett, The National Oil Spill Response Test Facility in the USA, will host a one week Oil Spill Training Course from 17 to 21 September 2007.
Designed with oil spill response personnel in mind, students will gain enhanced decision making skills through classroom instruction and hands on oil recovery operations.
While training in the test basin, students will deploy and operate different types of booms and skimmers (stationary and advancing) to contain and recover REAL oil. Instruction will be provided by instructors from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi National Spill Control School.
