Redwise quickly mobilized it’s general manager, master and chief engineer to Tallin, agreed all terms with it’s client and was underway with the vessel within a week during which change of flag surveys, ISM and ISPs, and interim audits were all completed.

After leaving Tallin the vessel stopped for bunkers at Brunsbutel after a normal transit of the Kiel Canal. In Rotterdam, ten tank containers of 24m³ each were loaded with shore crane assistance and by means of small wheeled tracks and a forklift, as the truck lanes were not large enough to allow forklifts or side unloaders to discharge and operate within the given space. Limited deck strength was overcome by means of wooden beams as dunnage and limited strength of the lashing points were overcome by an ingenious cargo lashing arrangement. Finally, bunker hoses, manifolds and air pumps were installed to allow rapid bunkering and transfer to the vessel’s fuel tanks together with additional potable water capacity.

After departing Rotterdam the vessel sailed via the bunker ports of Las Palmas and Cabo Verde to Curacao, where it was safely redelivered to Redwise’s customer. However, Redwise involvement did not stop there. Tank containers needed to be cleaned and shipped back to the point of origin, together with the rented bunker arrangement.
