Renewable Energy Congress Planned for Vienna
06 Dec 2007
The event, which is being held under the patronage of the Austrian Ministry for the Environment, aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest product innovations, trends and problem solving methods in the environmental technology and energy technology sectors both via the various expert forums as well as the trade exhibition it encompasses.
The objective of Envietech is to create a leading European event for environmental technologies and renewable energies in order to reinforce this growth market in a sustainable manner. By way of example, this sector generates a market volume of four billion euros and annual growth of 7.5% in Austria alone. In overall EU terms, market volume amounts to around 230 billion euros. In order to provide additional momentum here and, at the same time, press ahead with solution options for improving the environment and the climate, Envietech 2008 will be providing a comprehensive overview of the latest products and services in the environmental technology and renewable energy sectors.
In addition to lectures by experts in two congress forums running parallel to each other, there will also be sufficient opportunity for participants to engage in personal transfer in the form of face-to-face business talks. The fourth European Forum for Eco-Innovations, dealing with the tapping of global market opportunities within the framework of Envietech, will be a further focus. The trade exhibition will be presenting the latest developments and solutions in the fields of water management, waste management, renewable energies, services and technology transfer.
Envietech 2008 is being organised jointly by the Ministry for the Environment, the ACV - Austria Centre Vienna, the ICC - International Association for Cereal Science and Technology, the ECO - Eco World Styria, the ÖGUT - Austrian Society for Environment and Technology, the WKO, the environmental technology network, and the City of Vienna. The congress and the trade exhibition are targeting participants from business, industry and financial services as well as from countries, municipalities and NGOs throughout Europe and overseas. Reduced participation fees are being offered for applications received by 15 December. Further information is available at http://www.envietech.at.
