    Vector Thruster Debuts at Seawork

    One of the most significant developments in marine propulsion to be revealed at Seawork 2007 last month was the new Kort Vector Thruster from Kent UK based Kort Propulsion.

    Largest FF Waterjet Seen First at Seawork

    Rolls-Royce introduced the largest waterjet to appear thus far in its Kamewa FF series at Seawork 2007 in Southampton last month. The FF600 unit extends the power range of the axial flow waterjets to 1,800kW.   

    Acoustic Enclosures for Marine Power

    Ipswich UK based diesel generator manufacturer G&M Power Plant Ltd has designed and built a new sliding door acoustic enclosure which can be specified with sound levels from 70 dB(A) to as low as 60 dB(A) at 1m.  

    Hot Schottel Having Busy Season

    An offshore supply vessel due to enter service in 2009 will be fitted with Schottel Twin-Propellers and a Schottel retractable Rudderpropeller.

    One of the products being shown by Poole UK based Marine Components International at Seawork 2007 last month was the new SST System by Bennett Marine.
