Brokers Acquired

Liverpool’s oldest ship brokers, SC Chambers
& Co Ltd, has been acquired by Sanderson Maritime Ltd with backing from
Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF), Lloyds TSB and the company’s own
investment.
The Sanderson Maritime Group operates globally
from the Port of Liverpool Building and specialises in a range of maritime
services which includes international barge transportation. The acquisition is
expected to lead to the creation of 12 new jobs.
