The Department of the Marine and Natural Resources in Dublin, Ireland, has issued a tender for a major capital dredging project that will be carried out in, and adjacent to, the existing port at IRL-Rossaveel, Cashla Bay, on the north shore of Galway Bay.

Development Proposed at Gloucester Quays

At the beginning of April, British Waterways (BW) and Peel Developments announced plans for a major waterfront regeneration project in Gloucester in the UK. The project has the backing of the South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA), and could cost in the order of £200m to bring to completion. 

Public inquiry Over UK Port Plans

The Port of Harwich in the UK has confirmed that the proposed £300m development of new facilities at Bathside Bay will be delayed by an as yet unknown period after the UK government ordered a public inquiry into the plan.
