The order follows Fast Engineering's participation in a Trade Partners UK sponsored exhibit at the recent Major Incident Disaster Management Conference in Fukuoka, Japan.

Fast Engineering is an established supplier to UK pollution response operators such as OSRL and Briggs Environmental Services.

The FBSCS is a 'Millennium Product' designed by Fast Engineering to help companies and coastal authorities comply with the new Control of Pollution (Oil Storage) Regulations which came into force in the UK last month.

These require any pump, generator, tank or container holding more than 200 litres of oil to be bunded.

The Fastank Bund therefore provides temporary or permanent secondary containment for mobile plant such as diesel pumps and generators. Vehicle drive-in is facilitated by simply lowering an end wall. The product has received European Design Registration and is the first portable concept for how mobile or temporary plant can meet the requirements of the legislation inexpensively.

Fastank is a hand portable bund packaged in a small satchel for ease of storage. It can be transported and erected tool-free in seconds by one person. Available in capacities of 500 to 4,000 litres, Fastank Bund helps to reduce or eliminate environmental damage, clean-up costs, and the possibility of hefty fines.
