New Voith Tractors for the French Navy

The first of two powerful Voith Schneider propelled tractor tugs is currently nearing completion for the French Navy at the Socarenam shipyard in Boulogne. Esterel, and sistership Luberon, are due for delivery later in the year and will be used to handle the aircraft carrier Charles De Gaulle at the Toulon naval base.

Volvo Penta Supply Engines for New Russian Tugs

Volvo Penta has signed an important order to supply engines for a series of new tugs for the Ukraine, in a deal involving the delivery of 15 diesel engines for three sister vessels to be built in 2002.
