Street Cranes Lift Princess' Plymouth Expansion

Luxury sector boatbuilders Princess Yachts of Plymouth UK are expanding operations with a major redevelopment programme underway at their Newport Street facility.
The main contractor, Dean and Dyball of Exeter, has placed an order with Street Crane Company for ten new overhead cranes which will see the number of Street cranes deployed by Princess exceed 30 across four manufacturing sites.
Eight of the new cranes are single girder units of 6.3 tonnes safe working load, with underslung hoists and dual speed control on all motions. The package is completed by two 25 tonne cranes each having twin hoists of 12.5 tonnes allowing independent or tandem use for flexibilty.
