    NATO Chiefs in SAR Event at Russian Ministry of Defense

    Golden Helmet Awarded to Port Accident Survivor

    In a recent accident at a crane berth in the Port of Ipswich, operations foreman Ivan Ransby was knocked unconscious when loose dunnage slipped from between packs of timber being unloaded onto the quay. The incident could have had fatal consequences had Ransby not been wearing a Centurion 1125 safety helmet which cushioned the blow to the right side of his head.

    Marine Data Systems of South Africa has appointed Tideland Signal of Surrey UK as distributor for AIMS MIII, its Automatic Identification System to aid tracking and data exchange between ship, shore and aids to navigation at sea.
