ABP Acquires Ailsa-Troon Shipyard

Associated British Ports (ABP) has acquired the former Ailsa-Troon shipyard at ABP's Port of Troon under a 50-year lease. The 5.5ha site - which contains two dry docks, a pier, two warehouses and 14,600sqm of land available for development - has not been used since December 2000. 

UK-based Fender Manufacturer in Parallel Motion

Fentek, the UK-based manufacturer of fenders for ports and harbours, says the popularity of its Parallel Motion fender system continues to grow. Recent installations and orders have put the total number of Parallel Motion Fenders commissioned or under construction to over 160 systems since the first units were installed in May 1997.
