The company completed both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Dun Laoghaire Marina Marina in Ireland during 2001 and also installed a massive floating pedestrian walkway at St George's Dock in Dublin. At Glenarm in Northern Ireland, Walcon completed the design, manufacture and installation of a 50 berth marina using its reliable System 21 pontoons. In the heart of nearby Belfast, the company completed the installation of a new ferry pontoon at the Odyssey Centre on the River Lagan.

Back in the UK, Walcon has signed a contract for the further extension of Portishead Marina with Crest Nicholson Marinas Ltd. The new extension will take the number of berths up to 150 on the way to a final figure of 450. Walcon Marine provided the first phase of the marina using its System 2000 pontoons and as part of the design and build contract, also installed the piling for both the marina and the hoist deck.

On the south coast, a further installation of new berths in the north basin of Sovereign Harbour at Eastbourne is underway.

Walcon has provided all the pontoons at Sovereign which, when finally complete, will be one of the largest marinas in the UK. Nearby at Brighton Marina, which is the largest in the country, Walcon is nearing completion of the major task of re-decking a large number of pontoons.
