The Princess Royal to Present Seatrade Awards

The Princess Royal will present the Seatrade Awards, which recognise innovation and achievement within the international maritime industry. The scheme promotes improvements in maritime standards by rewarding companies whose products help to save lives and protect the environment.
Over 450 members of the shipping community will gather in the Guildhall to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the last year. Five Seatrade Awards will be presented in the categories, Safety at Sea, Countering Marine and Atmospheric Pollution, Innovation in Ship Operations, IT Applications for the Shipping Industry, and the Seatrade Personality Award, given for outstanding personal achievement in any maritime field.
A donation from the evening's proceeds will be made to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
