Good Vibes for Diesels with Flydamp

Geislinger, the Austrian torsional vibration specialist, has launched Flydamp, a product which replaces the conventional damper, flywheel and torsional elastic coupling and is mounted instead of the original flywheel.

The damper part reduces engine excited torsional vibrations in the crankshafts of diesel and gas engines or reciprocating compressors. The coupling part reduces torsionally critical speeds and dampens unavoidable torsional vibrations in all types and sizes of machines.

Installation is simple, as the damper, flywheel and coupling are replaced by Flydamp and the free end of the crankshaft without torsional vibration damper remains available for any type of accessory drive. Flydamp includes a starter ring or turnwheel, will operate to temperatures of 140ºC and has practically no speed limit.
