Landing Craft for Cruise Ship

Voe Boats has delivered two alloy Voe 28 tenders for Hebridean Island Cruises to use with the company's new ship the Hebridean Spirit. The Voe Boats hulls were selected specifically to ferry the ship's passengers in comfort to beach landings via a forward stairway or to pier landings throughout the ship's cruising itenarary from Scandanavia to the Indian Ocean.

The tenders were built to the customer's specification with twin Steyr 144 VTI diesels and Hamilton 213 waterjets driving through Hurth 1.26:1 gearboxes to achieve 12 knots with 20 passengers on board. The design is based on Voe Boats' well established alloy Voe 28 hull.

The hull and machinery was completed by Malakoff & Moore Ltd with the rest of the outfitting and painting carried out by George Prior's of Lowestoft UK. Malakoff & Moore build a range of alloy Voe Boats for commercial applications, extending from 5 to 15m and including monohulls, barges and catamarans.

There are similar steel vessels including landing craft and well boats available from 8 to 15m.
