Initially, the interface to the ship's Kelvin Hughes ECDIS was by floppy disk transfer onboard.

But ChartCo says it has since developed a network interface for seamless transfer of data to an ECDIS. Although Kelvin Hughes is the first company to opt for ChartCo compatibility, the interface standard has now been released to other system manufacturers and will be followed by support for other official navigation data types such as the recently introduced Admiralty Digital List of Lights.
