Malta Dry Docks in Drive to Improve Safety

Malta Dry Docks and Malta Ship Building have joined forces with Swiss-based Du Pont Safety Resources to implement a major safety improvement programme involving all employees throughout each business.
The three year programme has the objective of substantially reducing the number of unsafe acts which can lead to accidents.
Continuous work is ongoing to improve safety at both companies, with MDD being awarded the British Safety Council 4 Star rating last year. Safety performance can now be a major factor in winning contracts, particularly with regard to the offshore sector.
