Anti-Vibration Marine Engine Mounts

Trelleborg Industrial AVS, the recently formed amalgamation of Metalastik and Novibra, has launched a versatile new anti-vibration mounting for small to medium sized engines and other equipment in mobile applications, both marine and land-based.
The new design, designated Novibra SIM, features a strong, corrosion-protected steel baseplate and dome shaped casing designed to shield the captive rubber element against oil contamination.
The combination of robust construction together with moderate vertical stiffness and high axial stiffness makes Novibra SIM suitable for mounting marine engines either with or without thrust bearings.
The new Novibra mount is fitted with a shockproof resilient stop which will protect against forces up to 5g. In addition to the standard HA height adjuster, SIM can be supplied with a special adjuster for high load applications. Metal parts are protected against operating environments by a zinc chromate treatment in accordance with ISO 2081 and are designed to withstand high shock loads in the most arduous mobile duties.
