Renold Hi-Tec Extends Coupling Range

Renold Hi-Tec Couplings of Halifax UK has extended the size range and applicability of its high temperature blind assembly HTB coupling.

The new HTB UJ coupling.

Specifically designed to operate in extreme temperatures from -50ºC to 200ºC, the HTB is already specified for a range of applications which includes diesel engine bell housings, gensets, and marine propulsion. The size range has more than doubled, now extending capacity from 800nm to 20,000nm, while a new HTB 'UJ' range has been introduced for power take-off applications.

The unique blind assembly configuration and high temperature capability of the HTB allow easy assembly and operation in bell housing applications, while its severe shock load protection capability avoids driveline failure under short circuit and other transient conditions. The HTB requires no lubrication or adjustment and provides quiet operation under all running conditions.

The extension to the HTB range and the introduction of the HTB 'UJ' complement an already comprehensive selection of rubber-in-compression and rubber-in-shear couplings developed by Renold Hi-Tec for the complete range of diesel and industrial applications.
