    'Svitzer' Successfully Completes EEZ Surveys

    Great Yarmouth-based Svitzer has successfully completed the first stage of Mauritius continental shelf survey operations in the West Indian Ocean using its specialist hydrographic vessel L'Espoir.

    Fugro has introduced a web service (www.surveyplanner.com) for updated coverage charts of its worldwide Differential GPS services, enabling users to produce customised maps for any location and service. 

    Pangea Software for Italian HO

    Pangea of Bologna, which specialises in design of static, dynamic and real-time geographical data management software, has completed delivery of 323 new sub-modules to the Italian Navy's Hydrographic Office in Genoa. They will enable the Office to increase its chart production capacity while also improving current automation processes. 

    Seabed Classification Software Demos

    Atlantas Marine of Langport, Somerset is currently hosting a series of demonstrations of new seabed classification systems developed by Canadian software specialists, Quester Tangent. 

    UKHO Dutch Licence Agreement

    The UK Hydrographic Office has signed a licencing agreement with Nautical Information Services BV for direct electronic transmission of Admiralty Notices to Mariners to vessels at sea under the Digital Folio and Notice Service (DFANS).
