Representatives from major European ports were recently welcomed by Associated British Ports' (ABP) Port of Southampton and ABP Marine Environmental Research Ltd (ABPmer) - ABP's Southampton-based research subsidiary - for the eighth annual International Workshop on Dredging and Surveying.
This year's two-day event was organised by the Dutch Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management, and sponsored by ABP Southampton, Port of London Authority and Harwich Haven Authority.
More than 60 guests, including dredging and surveying experts from the Ports of Oslo, Rotterdam and Dunkirk, took part in technical workshops and seminars at the Port of Southampton, and attended an open evening at ABPmer, which included a tour and demonstration of the company's services and facilities.
