    The steering committee of seawork, which provides a bridge between the event's organisers, Mercator Media, and over 200 exhibitors, has been strengthened by the addition of Carol Mackaoui.

    Calder brings the latest addition to their range of high pressure water jetting systems and accessories to seawork2002, an innovative device suited for surface stripping on high vertical and inclined surfaces with the operator safely positioned at ground level. 

    'True Light' Shines for Safehaven Marine

    Safehaven Marine of County Cork in Ireland is a regular and successful exhibitor at seawork. This month sees trials underway for the first vessel of their new Interceptor 42 design to be built. The vessel will be named True Light of the Claddagh by owner Martin Oliver in memory of his grandfather's famous boat of the same name. 

    Dockstavarvet to Reveal New Patrol Boat at seawork

    The Swedish boatbuilders Dockstavarvet will be showing a brand new design of patrol boat in the floating exhibition at seawork2002. After more than 10 years developing and building Combat Boat 90 H in various forms, Dockstavarvet has now entered the final phase in the development of a new, faster and better adapted patrol boat for coastguard, police and customs surveillance activities. 

    Quayside Power Display by Barrus

    One of the visual as well as practical highlights of every seawork is the quayside display of marine engines put on by EP Barrus Ltd. The Oxfordshire-based distributor has recently been awarded the exclusive Mercury outboard motor franchise for the UK and Ireland and is also now the sole UK distributor of the MerCruiser engine range. 

    'Cleopatra' Barges into Workboat Sector

    Building on the success of the Cleopatra Fisherman 33 in the UK fishing market over the last two years, Poole-based DS Marine has won a contract to supply its first Cleopatra 38 for a workboat application.
