New Klein Advanced All-digital Sonar

US sidescan sonar specialist Klein has launched a new advanced all-digital Model 3000 system featuring improved transducers, circuitry and designs adapted from its Model 5000 multibeam-focused sonar equipment.
The portable single beam system offers improved imagery at long ranges, dual 100 and 500kHz frequencies, and a standard depth rating to 1,500 metres.
Modular in design, the company claims that it can be readily fitted to various housings. It is completely software-driven on a PC platform using a proprietary Klein SonarProT software suite, a custom-designed acquisition program developed for both experienced and inexperienced operators. The suite also features survey planning tools, navigation charts, track plotting, target management, and a LAN hub interface for multiple or third party users.
