Special Offers From Sonardyne
01 Aug 2003
Sonardyne International of Yateley, which recently announced selection of its Fusion USBL acoustic positioning systems for two new Dutch Navy survey vessels, is now offering what it calls significant cost savings on its range of acoustic release transponders and associated surface equipment already in service with, among others, CGG, Fugro Geos and QinetiQ.
The range includes full-ocean depth-rated units, dual redundant systems, remote actuation transponders and heavy duty releases. A lightweight release system (LRT), which is capable of receiving and transmitting acoustic signals, can be typically deployed on seabeds and activated to release moored loads of up to 125 kg.
Offers available, says the company, are designed to appeal to both existing users and new customers unfamiliar with its product range. One includes a free matching unit for every five acoustic releases, rope canisters or heavy duty release frames bought at normal price. Another offer includes price reductions for transponder starter kits while there is also a 10% reduction in the cost of surface equipment for every transponder purchased.
This means, for example, that the purchase of five release transponders will entitle customers to a 50% reduction in the cost of the surface command unit. If ten transponders are purchased, then the surface unit is free.
Further details on all the offers can be accessed via Sonardyne's website (www. sonardyne. co. uk).
