In Kuwait, Walcon is currently installing a new 140-berth marina at Salmiya as part of the new Kuwait Waterfront Development. Working for the United Real Estate Company, Walcon has designed, built, and is now in the final phase of construction of this new marina which was due to open in mid summer.

Walcon staff were in Kuwait before the outbreak of Iraq war, but came home during the conflict and whilst the main services to the marina were being installed. However, the marina has now been completed on time and to budget.

In Doha, Walcon has recently completed the 248-berth marina at the luxury Ritz Carlton Hotel in a project which had been in the planning for some time and is one of the largest marinas in the area.

Also in the Gulf region, this time in Abu Dhabi, Walcon has won the contract to provide the new 60-berth marina at the prestigious Conference Palace Hotel, and has been contracted to design and build a number of private berthing facilities in and around Abu Dhabi.
