Knudsen to Launch Sounders
01 Dec 2003
Canadian echosounder specialist Knudsen Engineering is to premiere two new systems at Oceanology International 2004 at London's ExCel Centre next March.
The first, the 320BR Plus, is designed for multi-mission tasks and features up to four independent channels for simultaneous operation covering shallow-water navigation (200kHz), mid-range hydrographic survey (33kHz), and full ocean survey and sub-bottom profiling (12kHz & 3.5kHz). Lower frequencies offer chirp and correlation processing, the company says. The other new offering is a low-cost alternative to the existing 320M system, the 320MJr. Housed in a splashproof case, the single-frequency unit is specifically designed for shallow water survey operations.
