European Renewables Conference Set For Berlin

The European Conference for Renewable Energy - Intelligent Policy Options has been schedule for 19 to 21 January 2004 in Berlin.
The event is organised by The European Commission, the European Renewable Energy Council (EREC) in collaboration with DG TREN, the German Federal Ministry for Environment, and the European Forum for Renewable Energy Sources (EUFORES).
The event's objectives are twofold. Firstly, it will analyse the developments made to date, presenting market evolution and sectoral progress while offering a showcase for lighthouse initiatives from the European Union's campaign for Take-Off for Renewable Energies (2000-2003). Secondly, it will provide a discussion forum for market prospects, reinforced policies and new renewable energy targets towards a time horizon of 2020.
This conference is the regional preparatory conference for Europe leading towards the World Renewable Energy Conference in Bonn in June 2004.
