Gareloch Celebrates Busy Birthday

Scotland's Gareloch Support Services (Plant) Ltd is celebrating 15 years in the commercial marine support industry with its marine civils department typically busy on a UK west coast project repairing all load bearing piles on a jetty. The job involves the removal of old steel casings and the injection of UW concrete into specially designed shutters both above and below the surface.
As the GSS marine business continues to expand, the company's newest vessel, the now one year old Laura M isproving to be an ideal working platform which is making a valuable contribution to the company. Built by VT Halmatic, this MRV20 Multi-Role Vessel is equipped with powerful lifting equipment in the form of an Effer 65 tonnes/m crane capable of lifting 3,000kg across an extended outreach of 16m.
Laura M has proven itself on projects ranging from piling to pipe and cable works.
Most recently, the vessel has returned to its geographical origins to service NATO moorings in Hythe, Southampton.
The job was completed on time and in budget, much to the satisfaction of the MOD.
GSS is also expanding its client base in the UK and Ireland as the navaids dimension to its business flourishes.
Gareloch has formed a working relationship with a major navaids supplier which is allowing the two companies to provide port and harbour authorities with a cost effective navaids supply and servicing package.
