Navi-Monitor promises to help deliver ISPS Code compliance for port and harbour authorities.

Navi-Monitor is a powerful surveillance and alert system based on Transas' NaviHarbour VTS system which has been specifically adapted for the needs of small and medium size ports, coastal guarded objects and offshore platforms.

It will provide an efficient and flexible solution for oil and chemical terminals and other dangerous cargo processing coastal facilities which fall under the ISPS Code as well as civil facilities vulnerable to waterside terrorist attack.

Navi-Monitor monitors and identifies vessels and other navigation objects in coastal waters, analyses the navigation situation, generates alarms and notification messages in accordance with pre-set criteria, and continuously records navigational situation data for further playback and analysis.

It is possible to upgrade Navi-Monitor to a full mission Navi-Harbour VTS system.

Navi-Monitor can be interfaced with external data sensors such as radar processor, AIS transponder, CCTV, direction finder or remote VTS. Its Operator Station is a PC-based facility with a user friendly interface. Any system can be configured for single operator or multiple users, with different authorisation levels and types of access to system controls.

The graphical interface of each Operator Display can be customised to the particular requirements of each operator.

An Operator Station can include several traffic/chart windows, each displaying a number of vector charts in a multi-layer manner to cover any geographical area.

Alarms provided with Navi-Monitor include target approaching prohibited zone, target crossing reporting line, target entering or leaving reporting zone, target entering restricted zone, tracking target at anchor (anchor drift), target approaching/entering fixed object (navaids) guard zone, collision danger (two targets), dangerous CPA/TCPA (two targets), lost buoy and dangerous drift off position (navaids tracking), and target speed and course violations. There are a number of options for adjusting alarm message signals, parameters, and acknowledgement procedures.
