Hoisting Hooks Range Expanded

Sweden's Gunnebo Lifting are complementing their component programme in the GrabiQ series with a new size of roundsling hook. The new hook will be the largest in the RH series and will carry the designation RH 5-8+.

The four RH hooks are part of the Gunnebo GrabiQ programme for fast and safe lifting.

The RH hook is a one piece forged component and its special design enables simple replacement of a worn or damaged sling. The series is now available in four different sizes for loads up to five tonnes.

The hooks are suitable for use with roundslings or webbing strops. Like the smaller hooks in the RH series, the Gunnebo RH 5-8+ is single piece manufactured in order to minimise the number of lifting components, which reduces the risk of worn or incorrectly fitted links. The replacement of worn slings is also made easier.

Like its siblings, the RH 5-8+ hoisting hook is colour coded according the EN 1492 and is CE marked because it qualifies as a complete lifting accessory in itself.

Two heels on the hook help to protect the sling if the hook and sling are dragged along the ground and the hook is designed not to snag other components. To minimise the risks of crushing or damaging the sling during lifting, the radius of the RH hooks' contact surface with the sling has been made extra large.

The hooks are designed for easy assembly of temporary slings or for quick replacement of worn or damaged sling legs.

The hook can be securely locked for permanent assemblies. All that is required to fix the fitting is to hammer in the matching locking pin set.

The RH series hooks included in the Gunnebo GrabiQ programme are type tested to EN-1677 and type approved by the German Berufsgenossenschaft.
