.In keeping with other shipowners with vessels of over 500 tons, Klyne Tugs (Lowestoft) Ltd was faced with meeting the requirements of the International Ship and Port Security (ISPS) Code by the 1 July deadline.

The company succeeded in having all the necessary procedures in place by mid-June, ahead of time, with the help of Maritime Protective Services (MPS), specialist in maritime security, counter-terrorism and risk management consulting. MPS produced security assessments and security plans for their ships and help to provide training for their personnel.

.Norwegian towage and offshore company Ostensjo Rederi AS of Haugesund has purchased its first anchor-handling tug supply vessel, the Ocean King.

Ocean King has since been operated in South East Asia under the management of Workships. Powered by two Wartsila 12v32 main engines the twin-screw vessel has a bollard pull of 170 tonnes. The vessel has been fixed on bareboat charter to Maritime Oil Services Ltd to work on time charter to Pemex for a period of 3-4 years with further options.
