Insurance Incentive to Replace Banned Halon Extinguishers
01 Jun 2004
UK motorboat insurance specialists Navigators and General (N&G) has negotiated a reduced rate on fire extinguishers to encourage owners to replace their banned Halon units.
Navigators and General is providing an incentive for boat owners to upgrade their fire suppression systems.
Through Marathon Leisure, N&G is continuing to offer the 12.5% discount for its policy holders on Sea-Fire Marine FM-200 fire suppression systems.
Utilising FM-200, Sea-Fire's pre-engineered systems protect spaces up to 42.5 m3 and are designed to reach maximum extinguishing concentration in 10 seconds or less. The FM-200 extinguishing agent leaves no residue, does not affect sensitive electronics or navigation equipment and is safe for both people and the environment.
