Ten Million Passengers for HSS

Staff and crew on board the Stena HSS fast ferry from Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire celebrated both the vessel's eighth anniversary recently and the ten millionth tourism passenger. The two HSS craft operating between Britain and Ireland have also carried almost two million cars, 45,000 coaches and 335,000 freight vehicles since the service commenced on 10 April 1996.
Last summer the company launched the £65m Stena Adventurer superferry on the Holyhead to Dublin Port route and recently introduced a new Stena Express fast ferry service from Fishguard to Rosslare.
Stena Line carries more than three million passengers between Britain and Ireland each year.
