Fresh from success at the glittering Welsh 'Oscars', Ali-It Marine's next destination is the Port of Southampton, where three of its boats will participate in the floating exhibition at seawork2004 .

The company's formula for success rests on building with aluminium alloy, the lightweight material delivering the advantages fuel efficiency, speed and low maintenance. Continuously updated aluminium plate technology from Australia produces performance hulls which incorporate the latest in corrosion prevention, noise reduction and paint application. Ali-It offers monohulls, catamarans, RIBs and glass bottom boats in sizes ranging from 9m to 20m.

The boats are custom built to clients' specifications and to date have included a 35 passenger glass bottom boat for the Bahamas which is used for eco-adventure trips, a 48ft shaft driven catamaran for hydro survey company Osiris Projects and Seal Safari , the 10.5m rigid RIB tourist excursion craft which attracted great attention at seawork2003 . For seawork2004 , Ali-It will be bringing the futuristic 10.5m passenger thrill ride boat Shockwave . Built to the same hull design as Seal Safari , Shockwave will astonish seawork visitors with a 500hp Yanmar 6CX-GTE2 marine diesel driving through an Ultra Jet 340 and joystick control system from Ultra Dynamics to take 23 passengers and two crew to a top speed of 48 knots.

Also at seawork , and demonstrating Ali-It's versatility, will be the Osiris Projects hydrographic survey catamaran.

Powered by a pair of 440hp Yanmar diesels coupled to shaft drives with semi-tunnelled propellers, the vessel is also fitted with a Hysucat stainless steel foil system which delivers a top speed of over 30 knots fully laden along with improved comfort, reduced motion and enhanced fuel efficiency.

Rounding out Ali-It Marine's seawork2004 offering will be the company's 7m catamaran demonstration vessel.
