    Seabulk Offshore Inc hasordered two offshore tugs of the new Robert Allan Rampage 5000 design from Labroy Shipbuilders , Singapore. This new anchorhandling tug combines many of the features of a large harbour and escort tug with those of a conventional anchor-handler. 

    Smit Orders stretched Stan Tug 3509 for Africa

    Smit International Gabon SA has awarded a contract to Damen Shipyards Gorinchem for the construction of a new terminal tug. Following a comprehensive tendering process the order was placed for a Damen Stan Tug 3509 for delivery at the end of this year. The vessel will be deployed primarily for local terminal duties on the west coast of Africa and will join a similar vessel completed by Damen four years ago. 

    Damen Shipyard Galatz Delivers Al Salaam

    In March of this year Damen Shipyards Galatz , in Romania, delivered an important new vessel to the Sea Ports Corporation (SPC) for operation at the Beshair SBM terminal south of Port Sudan. 

    Anchor Marine Sold Out to Augustea

    Britain's largest independent deep-sea barge operator, Anchor Marine Transportation Ltd , has been purchased by the Italian Augustea Group . In a deal concluded early in May Augustea made the purchase through one of its Italian based companies - Augustea Imprese Marittime e di Salvataggi SpA (Augustea). 

    Two More Compact Tugs for Australian Operators

    Australian shipbuilder Structural Marine of Henderson has built two more compact shiphandling tugs, similar to the successful Cape Pasley constructed for use in Western Australian two years ago ( Maritime Journal -August 2002). This latest pair have been constructed to a very similar design produced jointly by A G McIlwain Ltd andAustralian design company McAlpine Marine Design .
