Bespoke Survey Cat Hits the Road

Kongsberg Maritime and Uniteam International have joined forces to showcase the recently developed ConCat Survey Catamaran with a<$>‘Road Show’ demonstration tour of the innovative turnkey survey platform, which kicked off at Oceanology International in London this month and will continue across the USA and Canada before returning to the UK to finish at Plymouth and Aberdeen in late July and<$>early August.

ConCat comes fitted with Kongsberg navigation and surveying equipment which is factory installed and calibrated for optimum performance.

This could include Kongsberg Maritime’s new EM3002 Multibeam Echosounder and the EA400 Survey System package. The vessel is transportable in an optional ISO 40ft containerto ensure flexibility, safe transit and minimal mobilisation times for operators working internationally.

ConCat is a bespoke system that can be designed to suit any customer’s requirements regarding survey capability and logistical scope. The amalgamation of Kongsberg Maritime’s survey systems with Uniteam’s mobile systems expertise results in a flexible and reliable survey platform. The 9.4m boat is built of corrosion-free, high strength FRP by Uniteam Workboats AS with an engine in each of the symmetric hulls driving Alamarin waterjets for speeds up to 18 knots Oslo based Uniteam International is an experienced manufacturer and supplier of turnkey mobile systems for military and commercial customers worldwide. Increased<$>demand for mobility is popularising the Uniteam range of special purpose vessels, shelters and complete systems.
