Well-known propulsion system and component suppliers the Kort PropulsionCompany Ltd and associate Causeway Machinery Ltd have recently relocated to Erith in Kent. First established in 1935, the company has operated from an office in Witham, Essex for the past 15 years. This new tug fleet is being formed to provide towage, escort and mooring services, starting in 2006. The fleet will comprise a powerful escort and shiphandling tug, two harbour tugs with 70 tonnes bollard pull and two line handling boats. It is understood that the new vessels will be built by the Moen Slip yard in Kolvereid, with deliveries taking place during 2005. MelkOya is an onshore LNG plant and terminal linked to Statoil's SnOhvit ('Snow white') offshore gas field in the Barents Sea, scheduled to come on-line before the end of 2006.
