Indian Coaster Salvaged at Camber Sands

A salvage team from Klyne Tugs (Lowestoft) Ltd and Smit Salvage worked for a fortnight to refloat the 2,999grt coaster Maanav Star from a beach at the Sussex UK holiday resort of Camber.

SMIT Salvage completed a series of major salvage operations in the first half of this year, with the work programme including salvage and pollution prevention with the tanker Everton , the righting of the capsized fallpipe vessel Rocknes and the expected completion of salvage operations for the car carrier Tricolor . 

'No Limit' to Salvor's Convenience

Wijsmuller Salvage BV of the Netherlands had work come knocking on its door this summer when the brand new inland transport vessel No Limit broke its back in IJmuiden Locks, only half a mile from the salvage contractor's headquarters building at IJmuiden.
