New Version of Tideland/Norcontrol PMIS

Tideland Maritime Systems hasintroduced a new version of its Port Management Information System (PMIS) designed to manage the complexities of port and vessel management.

The system design is modular and, with the addition of optional features, can be used in operations of any size, including the world's largest ports. It can be customised to the user's individual needs and will interface with third party sources such as the internet, VTS or finance software packages.

Developed by Tideland's partner, Norcontrol IT of Norway, the new PMIS is already in service at major ports around the world. Key features include an operator-friendly interface with clear graphic displays, a web-based system for easy data distribution, automatic population of previously visited vessels and a vessel database with optional interface to the Lloyds database. It can also be interfaced with Tideland's V-Track VTS products, AIS systems and full VTMIS.

The Tideland/Norcontrol PMIS is available in three different editions: Standard, Professional and Enterprise, all operated via a simple, intuitive interface. Each version shares the same modular architecture and can be customised using additional off the shelf or bespoke modules.

Standard modules include vessel management, resource management, waste management, report generation, voyage management, incident management, port facility security and risk management.
