Voith Offers Choice at SMM

Voith Turbo will again participate at SMM inHamburg, with its propulsion equipment on display in Hall 5 at stand 212.
Highlights include the new Voith Water Tractor (VWT) Baut which has been put into service by Oslo shipping company Bukser og Berging A/S. It is the fifth Voith Water Tractor for the Norwegian Bukser fleet and the first one fitted with optimised blades. Visitors will also be able to study the Voith system for the largest ferry currently in service on Lake Constance, a reflection of the company's successful relationship with Constance Municipal Authorities which has flourished for decades.
Voith's research and development team will introduce the new generation of the Voith Schneider Propeller. The new, modified blades and optimised kinematics improve the overall performance of the propeller.
From its Power Transmission Division, Voith Turbo will present its range of constant fill and fill controlled Voith Turbo couplings. They provide improved sailing comfort and easier handling, protecting against overloads and failures whilst reducing wear and maximising vessel availability. Areas of application are main marine and auxiliary drive systems of such as cargo vessels, tugs and specialised marine vessels.
