    'Zephyr' Breezes Into Service

    Zephyr , a recently completed 6.9m Cheetah Survey Catamaran , was delivered by Isle of Wight based Cheetah Marine to the Southampton Oceanography Centre in late July. The vessel will be used primarily for bathymetric surveys of the nearshore sub-tidal zone in the Christchurch Bay area and is owned and run by the New Forest District Council/Channel Coastal Observatory , in partnership with the Southampton Oceanography Centre.

To meet these requirements, there is a clear trend towards enhanced automation in pipe bending technology. This includes the integration of feeding and extraction systems as well as multi-radii configuration which enable the production of complex pipe figures quickly. 

    Early Retirement for 'Water Witch' Founder

    At the age of 91, Mary Caddick, who founded Liverpool Water Witch with her husband over 40 years ago, is stepping down and handing the helm over to her son, the company's managing director Joseph Caddick. 

    seawork Debut for Fire & Rescue Boat

    Some one and a half years of close collaboration between Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service and Portchester UK based boatbuilders VTHalmatic came to fruitition at seawork 2004 with the appearance on the floating pontoon of a first of type, purpose-built fire and rescue boat. This variant of an RTK6065 had successfully completed trials before seawork and was delivered to the Service two days after the show on 26 June.
