Dredging Partnership Deepens Scapa Pier

The Danish backhoe dredger M/S Margrethe Fighter from the fleet of Peter Madsen Rederi A/S is carrying out works at Scapa Pier, Orkney in a joint venture project with the Shetland based engineering and marine contractor Tulloch Developments Ltd . 

DOP On the Tops and Doing Just Swell

Damen Dredging Equipment (DDE) has delivered a specially designed DOP plain suction dredger to Dragon Oil inTurkmenistan, where it will work in heavy swell of up to 2m in the Caspian Sea keeping the access channel to the Port of Hazar clear. The custom built dredger was designed, built and delivered in only 10 weeks.

Seattle USA based Manson Construction has ordered a dredging component package from VOSTA Inc for their 9,200 m3 capacity trailing suction hopper dredger currently under build at Alabama shipyards and due for delivery in October.

Bergen based Dreggen Crane AS has won an order to supply electric gantry travelling deck cranes for two cutter suction dredgers being built at Tianjin Xinhe Shipbuilding in China for Belgian contractor Jan De Nul .
