UKHO-Priar Stavanger Agreement

The UK Hydrographic Office isto include Primar-Stavanger data within its worldwide Admiralty ECDIS and ENC (Electronic Nautical Chart) services, following an agreement signed between the two organisations at the end of March.

Managed by the Norwegian Hydrographic Service, Primar-Stavanger currently distributes more than 15,000 ENCs from over a dozen nations and has recently extended its activities to include digital charts of South Korean waters.

As a result of the agreement, ENC coverage from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Latvia, Norway, Poland and Sweden will now be available as an integral part of the UKHO's Admiralty products. Its ECDIS service, it says, provides global official electronic chart coverage from a single source at a fixed price; new ENCs are automatically included as they become available together with new editions and weekly updates at no additional cost.
