Ali-it Always on Target at Seawork
01 Apr 2005
Pembrokeshire based aluminium boatbuilders Ali-it Marine return for a fourth consecutive year at Seawork , apresence which the company says has done much to help establish them in the UK and European marketplace.
Ali-it's visually stunning thrill ride boat Shockwave was one of the highlights of Seawork 2004 , at which the company took orders for two 15m aluminium catamarans and a 21m passenger ferry.
For Seawork 2005 , Ali-it Marine will bring the 15m hydrographic survey catamaran Lia , built last year for Osiris Projects and due to appear at Seawork 2004 until kept in Wales by storm conditions immediately before the show began. Custom built to survey offshore wind farm sites, Lia is powered by twin 440hp Yanmar marine diesels and features a stainless steel foil system which enables the 22 ton craft to reach 28 knots fully laden. Ali-it currently has two more 15m hydrographic survey catamarans in production for UK companies.
Ali-it will also be exhibiting one of the custom built 11m aluminium passenger RIBs which are making a mark by generating orders especially with charter companies in the tourism industry.
Completing the Ali-it Marine presence at Seawork 2005 will be a 13m aluminium Target Recovery RIB currently under build for D Little Engineering, which undertakes UK Ministry of Defence contract work.
This vessel has been specially designed to recover targets quickly and safely in the often difficult sea conditions off West Wales.
