Seawork Update

John Pattisson Remembered at Seawork 2005 International

Seawork 2005 will miss the cheerful presence, creative energy and sheer enthusiasm of John Pattisson, who sadly died far too young last year.

His Poole based company John Pattisson Associates was a small firm of marine consulting engineers specialising in harbour works, jetties, floating structures, pontoons and small powered barges. Over 17 years, JPA had built an impressive list of achievements, including its award winning designs for the NEG Micon wind turbine blade factory's Marine Transfer Facility on the Isle of Wight and the highly innovative MTB Blade Runner One and MTB Blade Runner Two blade transport vessels, which have appeared at previous Seaworks.

It is heartening that two of his closest Associates, John Berry and Roger O'Kane, have been able to incorporate the ongoing JPA workload into Fareham based Evans Grant Opus, which will be exhibiting at Seawork 2005 . John and Roger will be on the 'old stand', pleased to see friends and available to discuss any new marine works visitors may need help or advice with.

They also extend an invitation to everyone in the business who knew and worked with John to join them on the stand from 4:00 on Wednesday 15 June to share a glass of wine in John's memory.
