'Matching Marine Propulsion' Workshop

Ship and boat builders who want to know how best to match ship propulsion components and systems, perhaps avoiding costly mistakes, will take interest in the second international Matching Marine Propulsion Workshop, which starts in Vlaardingen in the Netherlands on 7 February 2006.

A joint initiative of Wartsila Propulsion Netherlands BV, Delft University of Technology, and the Holland Marine Equipment Association, the workshop will consist of four modules which can be enrolled for individually.

These are: Propulsion Plant Concepts and Basic Ship Hydrodynamics; Diesel Engines, Gas Turbines and Electric Drives:

Characteristics; Marine Propulsors - Characteristics;

Matching Propulsion Engine and Propulsor.

Because of its international setting, the workshop promises an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge and network with colleagues, shipyards, suppliers and perhaps clients.
