Heavy Duty Deck Plates

Poole UK based deck fittings manufacturer Bailey Marine has developed two new deck plates following a recent contract win from vessel builder VT Halmatic . The BM100 and BM200 deck plates have been specially designed for the British Royal Navy 's next generation of Pacific RIBs.

The rectangular deck plates have been custom made to fit into the restricted area of the craft's deck beams and offer the benefit of a larger opening than more conventional circular deck plates.

The BM100, fitted to the outboard version of the new craft, and the BM200, fitted to the waterjet version, are manufactured from Acetal (Delrin). The material is recognised for its high strength and rigidity over a broad temperature range, resistance to repeated impact and excellent resistance to moisture, all of which make it a good choice for the rigorous conditions the RIBs will encounter.

Following extensive trials, the deck plates have been codified by the British Ministry of Defence (MoD), giving Bailey Marine exclusive control over any future changes to the design.

Bailey Marine has also supplied its BM85 and BM89 round deck plates to the Pacific 24 RIB, which are also MoD codified.
