Targa Flies High at Seawork

Poole based Wessex Marine , the sole UK distributor for the Finnish built Targa range of workboat, returns to Seawork with one of its larger models, the Targa 35 Hi Fly , featuring a high and further forward flybridge.

This Targa 37+ for Londons Metropolitan Police is powered by twin waterjets and will carry up to 15 fully equipped officers.

The boat will be on the Seawork pontoon decked out in a blue police force livery, befitting a range which has proven exceedingly popular with police forces across Europe and as far afield as Turkey and Greenland. London's Metropolitan Police have acquired a fleet of five Targa 31s in recent years plus a single Targa 37+ to add an extra dimension whenever the mobilisation of additional manpower is required.

Targa boats are hand crafted to a very high standard and have also been put to workboat use by divers, water taxi operators, fire and lifeguard services, hydrographic surveyors, pilots and harbour masters.

The Targa 35 Hi Fly at Seawork 2005 is powered by twin Volvo Penta D6 engines uprated to 350 hp and powering Volvo Duo Prop outdrives for a top speed of approximately 35 knots.
