Seawork 2005 Preview

MGDuff Brings the Right Stuff to Seawork

MG Duff has been at the forefront of marine cathodic protection since the early 1950s and continues to be one of the largest suppliers of systems and services to the marine market in the UK and throughout the world. The company will be at Seawork 2005  showing its new cold-applied zinc application Zinguard which has been chosen as the primary corrosion protection for the Medway Ports’ fleet of line running boats.

'Mabel 8' is launched after a recent refit which included steel hull treatment by cathodic protection specialists MGDuff.

A complete overhaul of the Mabel class vessels, including new engines and stern gear, will give a new lease of life for the hard working steel launches. Keen to protect his fleet against corrosion and attrition damage, engineering superintendent Frank Foreman chose Zinguard for its high resistance to mechanical abrasion, corrosion protection properties, and ease of application.

Quill Falcon dustless blasting combined with Zinguard's non-toxicity makes surface preparation and application environmentally friendly, safe and easy to use.  With Zinguard and Quill Falcon equipment on display this summer, the MGDuff stand at Seawork will be a popular destination for many workboat operators attending the show.
